Create Your ”GOOD MOOD HAPPY LIST”

What did you do that resulted in you having a good day today? What did you avoid doing today that resulted in your having a good day?

Some days are just really great. But we don't stop to consider "why".

Wouldn't it be great if you could have more days without sadness, depression, or loneliness? More days when you were just 'in the moment'. When everything was 'zen'.

Well, you can easily increase the likelihood of that happening. When you have a great day, create a list of the things you did that helped make that day a good day. Add those things to your GOOD MOOD HAPPY LIST. Make sure you give directives, like "Go to the beach" if you went to the beach, and "Go see my friend Jane" if you spent some time with Jane.

Then , make a list of all the things you didn't do that day that made that day great. If you didn't go to work, then add the opposite to your GOOD MOOD HAPPY LIST: "Take a day off" or "Take a vacation".

Similarly, on a bad day, write down what you did that made it a bad day. Add those to your list as opposites as well. If you are always sad at work, then add: "Take steps to find a more suitable job" or "Take a day off".

And also write down what you did NOT do that day that resulted in you feeling sad, or lonely, or depressed. For example, if you didn't earn any money that day, and it upsets you, write on your GOOD MOOD HAPPY LIST, "Earn some money today" to remind you that you feel better when you are earning. If you didn't get any work done on your novel, and that saddens you, on your GOOD MOOD HAPPY LIST, write, "Spend 10 minutes working on my novel".

Bottom line, if you can become more in tune with what makes you tick, you can do some amazing things to ensure every day is as close to perfect as possible!
